New User/Non User Lunch

Registration is required in advance

Monday, June 2, 2008, 12:00pm-1:00pm
Location: Convention Center

The purpose of this lunch meeting is to give new/inexperienced and non-users an introductory overview of the PEAKS software, as well as an introduction to PEAKS 5.0.

The primary focus will address methods that improve ms/ms data confidence and result scoring. As much of the audience may have an extremely limited or no experience with PEAKS, we will discuss issues of general interest, unless specific questions arise...which we more than welcome.

Issues at a glance include:

  • De Novo Sequencing: more than just discovery
  • Protein ID: scoring methods
  • inChorus (meta protein identification): utmost confidence at the utmost ease
  • SPIDER: sequence homology tagging and block search methods
  • Quantification: the many methods we support
  • Huge data files? No problem!
  • PEAKS Online Server
  • ...ETC.

A question answer/period will follow the talks allowing further discussion on audience relevant issues.
