Sales Representative

Are you a dynamic individual with a combination of sales experience and an understanding of biology? Are you respected, liked and trusted by your clients and co-workers? If so, let’s talk!

We are looking for a Sales Representative to promote our solutions to fundamental bioinformatics problems. As a Sales Representative you will be marketing to prospective clients who are typically in the pharmaceutical, government and academic sectors to build relationships, obtain details required to develop and deliver quotations, and meet agreed upon sales targets so that individual and corporate goals are met.


Your Key Contribution Areas:
  • Actively focus on new business development.
  • Obtain all the information required from prospects/clients in order to develop and deliver quotations.
  • Provide professional advice to prospects/clients
  • Develop and maintain client relationships through regular contact.
  • Establish and maintain the highest level of customer service.
  • Work in partnership with other staff, distributors and vendors.
  • Maintain accurate and timely sales reports.
  • Contribute to the positive office atmosphere of BSI.
  • Maintain a high standard of business ethics and values.
You bring:
  • A University Bachelor’s degree (Science, Business preferred).
  • Ability to work with technical information regarding software and molecular biology.
  • Prior sales experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, negotiation, presentation and problem-solving).
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively.
  • Ability to examine and analyze data to arrive at a sound decision.
  • Computer literate: MS Office (Word, Excel), ACT, Outlook, Internet
  • Self-managing.
