As our first dedicated software test engineer, you will be responsible for structuring and shaping how we validate and test our software. We are looking for someone to help us determine the best tools for creating test harnesses and automated testing systems. Software test engineers will also occasionally, aid customers with problems in their research to facilitate knowledge of how the software is used in real life scientific research to help in the testing process.
BSI’s small size will allow for you to make a large impact while exposing you to a variety of fields within bioinformatics. You will also be exposed to cutting edge software from the industry as well as extremely large and varied scientifically important datasets.

As a software developer, you will focus on our customer experience, creating a graphical user interface for our various products while researching new potential features.
