Configurations

Below you will find the recommended configurations for PEAKS Studio and PEAKS Online, desktop/server solutions respectively, as well as maximum performance configurations.

Desktop Configurations

Recommended Configurations: PEAKS Studio will run on most platforms with the following minimum requirements:
Processor: Recent Intel or AMD dual/quad core processor (we recommend an Intel i5 processor or better)
Memory: 4 GB memory (we recommend 8GB memory or more)
Operating System: PEAKS runs and has been tested on Windows XP, Vista and 7. 64bit OS is preferred.

Maximum Performance Configurations: Any name brand desktop computer with an Intel Core i7 processor
Windows platform
At least 8 GB memory, but more is best
64-bit Operating system.
In order to use the full amount of processing power of this type of computer (70%), you need to purchase a 2 CPU license of PEAKS Studio software. If you purchase a 1 CPU license it will take advantage of the quad core physical processor only, not both.

Server Configurations

The server components can be deployed on a single server or on multiple servers (cluster nodes). In the multiple server situation, all servers must reside on the same high speed LAN without firewalls in between the servers. The servers must have the same type of OS installed, either all Linux or all Windows.

Recommended Configurations:
PEAKS Online can run on almost any recent, high specification server or desktop PC equipped with Intel or AMD processors. The server can be a single processor server, a dual processor server or a server with even more processors.
64 bit Operating system.
The server can be deployed to either Linux or Windows platform, but the PEAKS Client has to be on Windows.

Maximum Performance Configurations:
Any name brand server with Intel Xeon processors or AMD processors.
For a 1U 2 socket server, we suggest at least 24GB RAM; if a 2U 4 socket server, we suggest at least 64 GB RAM.
64 bit Operating system.
The server can be deployed to either Linux or Windows platform, but the PEAKS Client has to be on Windows.
