Hello,

I have taken a look to a “PEAKS DB” search tab and in the “peptide table” I have found peptides with zero features. How is it possible?

    Dear Joan,

That can happen. Our feature areas are calculated by integrating the area under the curve of the peptide feature from the LCMS data. In some cases, a peptide feature cannot be calculated. That can happen if the feature is in an area with lots of noise, is very low abundance, or the MS/MS scan was triggered on a mass too far off the monoisotopic mass of the feature. In that case, the identification results are still valid. Only the quantification results will be affected.
I hope that helps. If you have any more questions I’ll be happy to help.

    Kind regards,
