Join us for a PEAKS Lunch Seminar (October 13, 2025)

The 12th AOHUPO Congress, the 8th AOAPO Congress, the 3rd Global Summit of the π-HuB International Mega-Science Program, and the 13th CNHUPO Congress will be held in Guangzhou, China from October 11 to 14, 2025. As a Platinum Exhibitor, BSI is proud to showcase cutting-edge software solutions powered by machine learning and ground-breaking algorithms to advance biological research and drug discovery.

We are honoured to co-host a pre-conference training course—the PEAKS Training Workshop—with the Congress Organizing Committee. We will also host a PEAKS Lunch Seminar on October 13, where our special guests will share their latest research discoveries.

  • Presentation Topic: Understudied Proteomics and Peptidomes
  • Time: Monday, October 13, 12:30–13:30
  • Location: Lingnan Hall, Baiyun International Convention Center, Guangzhou, China

12:30–12:50

Anthony Purcell
Professor, Monash University

Professor Anthony W. Purcell is a Principal Investigator at the Biomedicine Discovery Institute, Monash University. He serves as a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Director of the Laboratory of Quantitative Proteomics. Additionally, he holds the position of Principal Research Fellow at the National Health and Medical Research Council, Vice President of the Australasian Proteomics Society, and Member of the Governing Council of the Human Proteome Organization (HUPO).

His research focuses on tumour immunology, autoimmune diseases, antigen presentation, vaccine design, and bioinformatics. He has published over 300 articles, including 5 in Nature, 9 in Nature Immunology, and others in Science Immunology. Notably, his work on immunopeptidomic experiments was published in Nature Protocols.

12:50–13:10

Hui Ye
Professor, China Pharmaceutical University

Professor Ye is the recipient of the Jiangsu Provincial Outstanding Youth Fund and Jiangsu Provincial Excellent Youth Fund, a Xingyao Young Innovative Scholar at China Pharmaceutical University, and a Doctoral Supervisor. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Sichuan University and her doctoral degree from the School of Pharmacy, University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA.

Her research focuses on the discovery of active molecular targets driven by metabolomics-proteomics technologies, aiming to identify new drug targets. As a first author or corresponding author, she has published work in internationally authoritative journals including Nature Methods, Nature Chemical Biology, Redox Biology, Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B, Analytical Chemistry, and Molecular & Cellular Proteomics. She also serves as a reviewer for journals such as Nature Methods and Cell Reports.

Her research has been supported by programs including the Jiangsu Provincial Six Talent Peaks Program, the Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology Youth Talent Support Program, and the Jiangsu Provincial Double Innovation Doctor Program. She leads projects such as the General Program and Youth Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as a sub-task of the National Key Research and Development Program.

She holds positions including Member of the Mass Spectrometry Analysis Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society, Deputy Secretary-General of the Analytical Pharmacology Committee of the Chinese Pharmacological Society, Youth Member of the Pharmacokinetics Committee of the Chinese Pharmacological Society, and Secretary-General of the Youth Committee of the Jiangsu Pharmacological Society.

13:10–13:30

Chenxi Jia
Professor, National Center for Protein Science (Beijing)

Professor Jia is a Beijing Distinguished Expert and a Scholar of the Beijing Overseas Talents Aggregation Program. He obtained his doctoral degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA, and later joined the National Center for Protein Sciences Beijing as a Principal Investigator through the "Phoenix Project" global recruitment initiative.

His team is committed to the proteomic analysis of neurochemical signalling—specifically, developing new proteomic technologies for the discovery, tracking, and functional characterisation of neurochemical signals, and exploring their roles in neurological diseases and brain health. He leads sub-projects of the Key R&D Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, as well as General Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, among other initiatives.

He has published over 50 papers in journals including Science Signaling, EMBO Journal, Molecular & Cellular Proteomics, and Analytical Chemistry, authored one English monograph, and won the Second Prize of the Tianjin Science and Technology Award. His core research focuses on three areas: 1) Developing novel peptidomic and systems biology approaches to study the function of neuropeptides in circuit regulation, and identifying key regulatory factors in the onset and progression of conditions such as depression and sleep disorders; 2) Developing chemical proteomic and proteogenomic technologies for the discovery and tracking of novel chemical signalling molecules; 3) Developing spatial omics technologies to investigate peptidergic systems and map neurochemical signalling networks. He has served as an invited speaker at international academic conferences hosted by organisations including USHUPO, AOHUPO, and CNHUPO.
