In a recent study by Pires et al., LC-MS/MS was used to study the protein components of the binding material in a paint sample that remained on a 1000-Year-Old Gold Mask, presumably by members of the Sicán culture of Peru.
RHybridFinder: An R package to process immunopeptidomic data for putative hybrid peptide discovery
Immunopeptidomics is the study of the processed peptides by LC-MS/MS and serves as a tool for the identification of novel antigens. This paper by Saab and others presents a novel statistical computing method called RHybridFinder (RHF).

An Integrated Strategy for Mass Spectrometry-Based Multiomics Analysis of Single Cells
Looking to optimize methods used for single cell proteomics from sample capture, to peptide extraction, through LC-MS/MS & data analysis? Li et al. recently published a workflow for integrated proteome, phosphoproteome, & metabolome analysis from a single cell that addresses many single cell proteomics challenges.
