Cannabis suppresses antitumor immunity by inhibiting JAK/STAT signaling in T cells through CNR2
Immunotherapy, like Immune checkpoint blockade (ICB), has been widely used with chemotherapy to improve cancer treatment. Since cannabis is used to treat nausea caused by chemotherapy, Xiong et al. studied if THC interferes with ICB treatment through the cannabinoid receptor 2 (CNR2) pathway.

A vast pool of lineage-specific microproteins encoded by long non-coding RNAs in plants
Small open reading frames (smORF) located on long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have recently been shown to encode functional microproteins that play important roles in different cellular processes. This study investigated the functions and evolution of smORFs present in lncRNAs in a moss species.
